The tour starts in Dresden and finishes at Prague. Both cities are fantastic, and very important cultural centres in Europe. Both are worth spending a few more days before and after the tour to explore. Riding along the Elbe river you’ll pass through beautiful countryside, breathtaking scenery, wine villages, and picturesque towns such as the wine and porcelain city of Meißen, Litomerice or Bad Schandau.
Day 1 – Meet in Dresden
The tour starts in Dresden with time to discover the city on your own. In the afternoon, we set aside time for the trip orientation meeting, bike rental fitting or unpacking your bike

Day 2 – Dresden to Bad Schandau (30mi, 49km, 1160ft)
On the way from Dresden, you’ll see several beautiful castles, the fantastic Bastei rock formation with a rock bridge, the Bastei Ruin and the Königstein Fortress.

Day 3 – Bad Schandau to Decin (16mi, 25km + hiking/gondola)
Visit the Czech-Saxon Switzerland National Park with Pravcicka Brana and sail on the gondola on Kamenice river in Edmund Gorge.

Day 4 – Decin to Litomerice (32mi, 51km, 1350ft)
A day for exploration of the romantic countryside of the Czech Middle Mountains. This volcanic region was always an ideal terrain for a building of castles and fortresses. Strekov Castle is one of the most romantic castles in the Czech Republic.

Day 5 – Litomerice to Mělík (30mi, 49km, 882ft)
Today you’ll ride along the Elbe River in one of the most fertile regions in the Czech Republic. A moving stop on today’s stage is the massive Terezin Fortress from the turn of the 18th century. A place which the Nazis used as a concentration camp during the Second World War.

Day 6 – Mělík to Prague (37mi, 60km, 1480ft)
Visiting the castles in Nelahozeves or Veltrusy are today’s highlights. Once we enter Prague, you will pass the Troja Baroque Castle and continue along the Vltava River to your hotel in the centre of the city.
