The tour starts in Zagreb and finishes in Dubrovnik both fantastic cities to spend a couple of days before and after the tour. We will ride through the Istria Peninsula. Ride from Kastav to Motovun Castle. Continue along the spectacular Adriatic coast toward Opatija. Cycle on the islands of Krk, Rab and Pag. We will continue to the Dalmatia coast, visiting the delightful towns of Pag, Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik. Taking in rolling farmland, glittering lakes, medieval towns, vineyards and coastal vistas.
Both longer and moderate rides have been developed for each day so all riding levels are catered for.
Day 1 Kastav
Meet in Zagreb , transfer to Lokve for a trip orientation meeting and bike fitting. After a picnic lunch ride to Kastav
Day 2 Kastav
Head North West toward central Istria Peninsula for about 30km before turning South West toward Motovun. A gental climb through the Istrian Peninsula. This followed by a 15km decent before a steep climb to the castle of Motovun.
Day 3 Rab
Head South to the Island of Krk the largest island in Croatia. Take the Ferry to Rab Island and cycle to the historic town of Rab.
Day 4 Pag
Ride to the port of Misnjak to catch the ferry to the mainland. Continue cycling to Prizna to catch the second ferry of the day to the island of Pag. Ride to the town of Pag.
Day 5 Zadar
Cycling from the moonlike landscape of Pag across the bridge to the mainland and to Zadar
Day 6 + 7 Skradin
Today most of our ride will be along the beautiful Adriatic coastline before turning North East towards the hills to reach Skradin.
Day 8 Split
We continue our cycling past Sibenik along the coast and pass through the Historic City of Trogir – a World Heritage Center.
Day 9 Gradac
Transferred to Storbec to start our ride toward Gradac. Ride along the coast with the views of the islands of Brac and Hvar.
Day 10 Mali Ston
We are back on the ferry after a 13km ride to reach Trpanj where we will ride along the Pelješac peninsula, the heart of the Croatian wine country.
Day 11 + 12 Dubrovnik
A short ride today follows an undulating coastal trail to reach the city of Dubrovnik – ‘The Pearl of the Adriatic’
